Plus SEBI's fee of 0.0001% on both sides and 18% GST on brokerage, transaction and SEBI charges. These are the same at every broker.
On options, STT (0.15% on the sell side) and the NSE transaction charge (0.03553%) are
worked out on the premium, and brokerage is usually a flat fee per order. On a cheap option the flat fee and GST
can be a large share of the profit, so a small move may not cover the charges. The "points to break even" line
shows how far the price must move just to pay them.
Buying one NIFTY lot (65) at ₹100 and selling at ₹120 premium at Zerodha costs ₹65.11 in all: brokerage ₹40.00, STT ₹11.70, NSE charge ₹5.08, stamp duty ₹0.20, GST ₹8.12, SEBI ₹0.01.

How much STT is charged on futures?
0.05% of the contract value on the sell side, from 1 April 2026.
Is this a recommendation to trade F&O?
No. It only works out charges. SEBI's studies show most individual F&O traders lose money; test any idea on past data and with paper trading first.
